We have received funding from the Milton Keynes Community Foundation to provide a Pilot Circuit rider project to voluntary and community sector organisations. This project aims to support the VCS organisations improve their capacity in terms of IT use, through signposting and advice.
We have also received funding from them to cover the costs of moving offices within Acorn House and to establish training facilities for our clients and Voluntary and Community Organisations. These facilities include ICT training for which the computer equipment has been funded by the Milton Keynes Community Foundation. As a tenant of Acorn House, we, like other tenants of the voluntary sector, qualify for a reduced rent. We have been successful in grant applications to the MK Community Foundation. These have funded essential office equipment, in the form of new computers and new phone systems for our Acorn House and Wolverton sites and training courses to help reduce our waiting lists for IT courses.
