Tracey's Letter
Dear MK Women & Work Group
Just a quick line to let you know that I have successfully gained an employment offer as a Teaching Assistant at my children's school.
I couldn't be more thrilled as being on my own and having an eight and five year old to care for, the hours, school holidays, etc are all instantly taken care of. It also means I am somewhat independent but will still be able to be around for my children.
I cannot thank you enough for the help and assistance you have given me since I first walked through your doors. I do believe that without your help and guidance I probably would not be in the position that I am in now. You helped me gain back some of my self esteem which in turn raised my confidence, you helped me recognise that I do have a lot to offer a future employer, that anything I wanted to do was possible, that my future was in my hands and what I wanted wasn't going to magically land in my lap one day, but above all you made me Believe In Myself! all of this many people take for granted and do not understand but mine had slowly eroded after being at home raising my children.
I am raring to go and so looking forward to helping the children at school and am confident I will quickly become a valued member of staff. For the first time in a long time I am looking forward to the future.
